How to install LUTs in Capture One

Quick answer

Install the pack's .icc profiles (on a Mac, copy them to ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles; on Windows, right-click → Install Profile), then in Capture One choose Adjustments → Styles → Import Styles… and select the .costyle files. Click a style under User Styles to apply it.

Import the styles

  1. Unzip the download first. Double-click the .zip on a Mac; on Windows right-click it and choose Extract All. Apps cannot read LUTs from inside a zip.

  2. Install the .icc colour profiles each style uses. On a Mac, copy them to ~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles (in Finder, Go → Go to Folder). On Windows, right-click each file and choose Install Profile.

  3. In Capture One, choose Adjustments → Styles → Import Styles… (or click + in the Styles and Presets tool).

  4. Select the .costyle files and click Import. They appear under User Styles.

Apply a style

  1. Select one or more images.

  2. Hover over a style to preview it, then click to apply it.

  3. To control the strength, apply the style to a new layer (enable Apply Styles on New Layer in the Styles and Presets tool's menu) and lower the layer's opacity.

Troubleshooting

A style imports but does nothing.

Its .icc profile is not installed. Install the profiles (step 2 above), restart Capture One and apply the style again.
